The course for tomorrow’s race will be a southerly course.

  • Start Location: North Avalon

  • Finish Location: Fishermans Beach

  • Registration: Fishermans Beach

Skis and OC1s

  • Start Location: Station Beach, Palm Beach or Palm Beach (ocean side)

  • Finish Location: Long Reef Beach

  • Registration: Station Beach

Race Day Timings - Skis and OC1

  • 10.00 am - Registration Opens at Station Beach, Palm Beach

  • 12.00 pm - Registration Closes

  • 12.00 pm - Race Briefing at Station Beach, Palm Beach

  • 12.30 pm - Event Start – First Wave (OCs, 70s, Women)

  • 12.34 pm – Second Wave (All Men Skis)

  • 12.35 pm – Third Wave (Doubles)

  • 1.30 pm – SUP Foil Start (North Avalon)

  • 3.30 pm – Arrive at Long Reef SLSC

  • 4.00 pm – Presentation and Party Long Reef SLSC (upstairs)

Race Registration

At race registstration, you will recieve your race number, timing chip and your 20 Beaches Race Shirt.

Please allow plenty of time for your registration

Mandatory Equipment and Rules

Please ensure you have the following equipment as we will be spot checking. Anyone who does not have the required equipment will be disqualified and not permitted to race. 

  • Hi-Vis Lifejacket

  • Safety Leg Leash

  • Pealess Whistle

  • Mobile Phone in waterproof bag - required for tracking app – (see info below re EventSafe)

  • Orange Smoke Flare recommended

  • PLB and Marine Radio recommended

The event safety number is 0422 554 965– please ensure you have this in your mobile phone for the race. 

  • If you register but do not race, you must text us your name and race number

  • If you pull out during the race, you must text us your name and race number

  • If you need assistance call us, but keep the line free for emergencies

Whales

Whilst it is fantastic to have all this whale activity, please be mindful of the migrating whales. You must remain 100m away (300m if there is a calf).

Prizes & Presentation

All competitors are invited back to Long Reef Surf Life Saving Club after the completion of the race for some post-race food and also your first drink from the bar (Must return your wrist band to redeem your drink). 

We will be presenting the divisional prizes as well prize money to the overall winners at the Race Presentation Party.

To claim your prize, you must be at the presentation.

We will be presenting Prize Money to the top 3 Women and Men in the open ski as well as the AddStyle Cup for the fastest Male and Female U/23 Paddlers.

There will be prizes presented for divisional categories throughout the field thanks to our sponsors.

Importantly, the AddStyle Draw will be held, where we will be giving away a brand-new Race One Paddles to two junior paddlers who are entered in the U/23 and U/18 divisions.
